Dad worked hard all of his life to provide for his large family. He was a proud and determined man who would take on any job that he could to accomplish this. He started work at a young age helping out on the family farm and continued this passion for farming during and after his retirement from Michelin on the multigenerational Dagley homestead, he was happiest working outside on his tractor, making hay or in the woods and caring for his cattle. The only thing he loved more was spending time with family and did not miss an opportunity for a cuddle or a hug. There were many family gatherings which were always large and boisterous, he loved it all, the more the merrier, especially when it came to the Grandchildren. We will truly miss this large figure in our lives but know that he is happy to be reunited with Mom.

He was an honorary member of the Italy Cross Middlewood and District Fire Dept and he enjoyed his weekly crib club and card parties at the fire hall.

The family would like to thank all those who have helped to care for Dad in the past year as his health declined and made life more challenging for him. He was always grateful for the care that he received and especially enjoyed the daily home care visits and the added company they provided.

Visitation with family to take place at R A Corkum Funeral Home in Wileville on Tues June 25th from 6 to 8pm and the funeral service will be held on Wed June 26th at 11am also at the funeral home. There will be a private family graveside committal. A reception will follow the service at the Italy Cross Middlewood and District fire hall.
