Conversation on New Pastoral Relations - Church Council Executive

Bridgewater United Church is looking forward to beginning a new pastoral relationship with a 1.5 clergy team beginning in the Fall of 2024. In preparation for this new phase in the life and work of the congregation, we will hold some group conversations meant to heighten the awareness of congregational strengths and assets; and to work on any latent issues which have the potential of undermining a healthy start to the new ministry.

The following members of Council form the Church Council Executive. They are asked to meet in the Library.

  1. Chairperson of Church Council
  2. Vice-Chairperson of Church Council
  3. Past-Chairperson of Church Council
  4. Secretary of Church Council
  5. Treasurer to the Congregation
  6. Minister (or a Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council Appointed Representative)
  7. Chairperson to the Finance and Stewardwardship Committee
  8. Chairperson to the Ministry and Personnel Committee
  9. Chairperson of the Board of Trustees

The Council Executive meets as required upon the call of the Chairperson or the Minister. The Secretary of Council will attend to keep minutes; once approved, these minutes are to be made available to the congregation. The executive must report to Council at its earliest opportunity on any decisions made, or work undertaken, by the executive.
